IHE Italy

IHE-Italy is a free assembly formed in December 2001 when some radiology vendors came together under the stimulus of SIRM and EUROPACS. Since then IHE-Italy activities have been prominently addressed to the spreading and adoption of IHE Integration Profiles for Radiology. As a result all radiology public tenders in the last five years now include a compulsory IHE adherence. In the last few years, focus has shifted towards Lab, XDS/XDS-I (which produced a couple of success stories) and privacy/security issues. Sub-committees include privacy/security, radiology and lab.

Membership

IHE-Italy membership is composed of health IT users, professional societies and vendors, among which most of the major market players such as GE, Siemens, Agfa, Fujifilm, Philips, Carestream, Dedalus, Enginsanita', Noemalife, Exprivia, Esaote.
