IHE Netherlands

IHE Netherlands is structured as a not-for-profit foundation (in Dutch "Stichting") with a board of three members, the User-co-chair, the Vendor-co-chair, and the Treasurer. IHE NL is supported by its members through an annual contribution fee. Corporate members have one seat on the monthly steering committee meeting.

IHE working groups include : Public Relations, Education and Annual Conference, Enterprise Architecture, Lab, Zorg & ICT (the annual Healthcare & ICT tradeshow), and Portable Data for Imaging, Architecture and Patient Care Devices.

IHE Netherlands is working with NICTIZ (The Dutch National Institute for ICT in Healthcare) on the development of a nation-wide solution for lab ordering and results sharing. To this end the development of new IHE Lab integration profiles (in cooperation with the international IHE Lab committee) is in progress.

Several regional IHE-based information networks are under construction or being piloted. IHE Netherlands is committed to further developing these activities and working with NICTIZ to ensure connectivity to the national healthcare ICT infrastructure.

Membership

IHE Netherlands has two types of members : Corporate and Individual. There are presently almost 80 members listed on the IHE Netherlands website ( http://www.ihe-nl.org). Membership fees include participation in the annual congress, discounts on training sessions, as well as participation in the steering committee and working groups.
